About me

I’m a keen wildlife photographer and birder based in London/Surrey U.K. Since I can remember I’ve been passionate for the natural world and loved animals my entire life and it soon developed into my passion for photographing the wildlife around me. Focusing on all kinds of naturalist documentation particularly on birds, mammals, reptiles and butterfly’s. I’ve learned so much about the various British wildlife and the fauna further afield along with capturing an insight into their lives.

Whether it’s canoeing through tropical rainforest, walking through a misty forest bog or laying in wet sand by the sea, being out in nature with my camera is always a great feeling and experiencing the natural environment around, not always knowing what to expect!

Much of my photography is undertaken in the Surrey/ London area where I’ve spent time with and developed a knowledge of particular diverse range of species. Occasional visits are to sites around the southern and eastern counties of England, especially the coast. Throughout the year trips to Czechia and and other countries have provided amazing encounters with wildlife.

Equipment

I use the Nikon D500 camera, along with a Nikon 200-500mm f5.6, Nikkor 105mm F2.8 G and Sigma 10-20mm lenses. I mostly work with me telephoto lens, as that’s best for the subjects I shoot the most, but will switch over to macro and wide angle if the opportunity presents itself. Binoculars and a spotting scope also come in handy for locating birds and other wildlife at a distant.
